Hawaii is a place that stole my heart as a young girl. With my mom being a flight attendant, I am blessed to have traveled to the Aloha State many many times. When I was planning my wedding, I was looking at locations in Austin (my home) until I was presented the idea of taking it over the sea, only having, max, 50 people, and having two weeks in Hawaii with the people I love most. Needless to say, a small intimate wedding was the way to go. But Hawaii…man Hawaii is magic. Pure, raw, real magic. Its a place that sticks with you, that your heart cries for. We’re hoping to make it back someday (pushing for a move, but we’ll see). Thank you Hawaii for your culture, your spirit, and your love for the simple things in Life. God, you knew what you were doing when you made Hawaii, and we are so thankful for that.
Oh Lisbon. Lisbon was a destination that was never on my radar. And I’ll be honest I went into it having done no research, looking at zero pictures, and have zero expectations. Lisbon is a charmer, let me tell you. The city is full of old cobble stone streets, cable cars, old churches, and beautiful tile. A day trip to Sintra and Parque de Pena is a must, and then head back into the city to explore the Tower of Belem. It’s the “hidden gem” of Europe, and its worth a see if you are looking for an under-the-radar-European-charm. Lisbon is known for four things: Cork, Sardines,Tiles, and my favorite…Ginjinha Shots.
