Hi. Hello. What’s Up?

I fell in love with photography while on summer vacation in Kentucky. My parents let me borrow their Canon PowerShot and the rest was history. I was drawn to the concept of capturing the world and freezing moments in time. I was hired as a staff photographer for the Kentucky Kernel, The University of Kentucky’s student newspaper (Ask me about the Vanderbilt basketball tackle…that’s a good story ) and that’s where I realized I wanted to do this for the rest of my life. I wanted to capture stories.

As a Nashville-based wedding photographer, that’s what I’m here to tell….your story. I’m a no-frills, super chill, do-you kind of photographer. I capture the “raw moments” of your day. I want to make you FEEL something when you look back at your photos because it’s about you and your sweet babe’s story. Whatever that looks like to you. I do this because I am genuinely, down to my core, obsessed with it. I love being there on a couple’s special day, documenting the pictures they will cherish for years to come. But I love the relationships I build along the way the most. That is why I do it.

Photography to me is not what you see, but how you see it. My background is in photojournalism, so finding beauty in the small things is my forte. Let’s capture your love story!

Livin’ in Nashville, documenting wherever you take me.

A Little Bit About Me…

  • I’m married to the coolest guy on the planet. Seriously. we were married in the valley of Jurassic Park on Oahu in 2018. I was a blister-foot-filled (from all the dancing) mud-ruined-dress (it poured-good luck ya?) bride who partied with 35 of my closest peeps. And it was magic. Pure. Real. Magic.

  • I now reside in Nashville, but Austin, Tx will always be my home. I spent eight years of my life there, and if you ask me, I’ll say that’s where I’m from.

  • The travel-wanderlust bug hit me hard at a young age (shout out to my flight attendant momma) and it changed everything. It opened my eyes to possibilities and wonder, and I am in awe of the cultures and people around us.

  • I’ve been to 16 different countries and 25 different states, I want to see them all.

  • Home renovations are one of my favorite things in the world. Transforming a home into your own is one of the greatest gifts.

  • A Vanderbilt basketball player completely took me out while shooting the last game of my career at Kentucky. I consequently won staffer of the week at my colleges newspaper, so I’d say it was worth it. Ask me about it…I’ll show you the video.

  • Tattoos are my jam…its a crazy addiction and I like the meaning of each of them.

  • I’ve been known to break the rules to get the shot. Think hopping barbed wire fences, and being shoved through broken warehouse windows…its worth it, trust me.

    Much love,

    K
